Hi everyone, just a short note to tell you about myself. I grew up in Hutchinson Kansas. When I was around 13 my dad and I joined a local pigeon club. We started out with just 6 good pigeons and bred our own birds from those. I really don’t remember what my first timer was but I remember it was the older wooden type put together with box joints. I had it up until I was in my 20’s then sold it (what a dummy!). I had a hen that placed in the top three many times and won a hand full. Beginner’s luck maybe? Who knows. Those memories are why I am doing it again at the young ol age of 45 with my oldest son Chad. I now live in southwest Kansas. This sport is really relaxing and watching those birds come home is just “magical” to me. I hold and talk to my birds every day and I truly believe that the more they trust and like me the better chance I have at getting them back home. Maybe I’m just getting old timers disease. Regardless, these birds are special. Thank you Randy and thanks for the nice STB clock. I’ll rub it before the races and see if I get some of the same results you did.
